Hi

I am running Online Shopping Company Currently my site running over sheared server and i want to move it on VPS or Dedicated Server. Please Suggest me who is the best VPS or Dedicated and Why??

Thanks

How big is your site?
How many Unique Visitor's per month?
Do you want Control panel's like cPanel/Direct Admin?
On which country do you want the VPS/Dedicated box?
What's your monthly budget?

It depends on the amount of traffic you have and the budget. You can handle a lot more traffic on a VPS than a shared. What is the main reason to shift?

I would recommend bulletproofvps(dot)com, you can do pretty much everything is suitable for all kinds of sites. I use them for the last couple of months fast and reliable service, I am pretty satisfied with them.

Whatever you choose, use a hosting company that's been in the business since I can remember - liquidweb.com

I suggest you to use VPS firstly, if your bussiness grow fastly and big, move it your host to Dedicated Server.
May help you :))

If your site could currently host on Shared Hosting, decent VPS spec. with decent provider seems to enough for now.

There are many factors to consider such as your site platforms, your current visitor stats, managed or unmanaged one either VPS or Dedicated server, control panel, budget, location and Linux or Window base ... etc.

I think VPS would be good to go for your current situation.

VPS is better in many ways, it's cheaper and hostsailor.com has provided resourceful and low cost VPSs. Why don;t you use them to meet all your needs. Support is active around the clock.

Generally VPS Hosting is beneficial for :

  • Sites with medium to high traffic.
  • Dynamic sites with lots of images, Database or scripts.
Generally Dedicated Server Hosting is beneficial for :

  • Sites with higher traffic.
So I will suggest you to choose Dedicated server or VPS according to the traffic of your website.

Are you looking for windows or linux hosting? do you know how to admin a server? What is your approximate budget?

The natural server evolution for a business is as follows. As business grows and you need more resources, you move from one step to the next

1. Shared Server
2. VPS /Managed VPS
3. Dedicated Server / Managed Dedicated Server

If you have server admin skills in your team, you can go for a VPS. If not, then a Managed VPS. (same with dedicated server). Remember that you can start with a low RAM VPS (say 1GB) and upgrade in steps to more RAM (and other resources) without much downtime.

As far as traffic is concerned, there is no serious co-relation between traffic and VPS/Dedicated server. I run a website with 200,000 monthly uniques on a low end VPS (256MB - using a wordpress caching plugin) with no issues.

Shared Server < VPS < Dedicated Server

but it all depends on your budget and traffic

I too am deciding to buy VPS hosting (for CPA marketing needs). Namecheap has great prices and solid configuration. LiquidWeb seems a bit too pricey for me at the moment and has a lot of extra features I don't need.

Any experience with Namecheap, anyone?

My site having total 7,000 product and every day we are updating. per day visit is more then 500. I want cPanel/Direct Admin. I am From India. and I can Spend Money on Dedicated or VPS budget is not an issue.

My site is too heavy having 7000 product and 15,000 hits per month so i want to transfer it.

Hosting can be broken down into four general types: shared hosting, virtual private servers (VPS), managed hosting, and dedicated servers. Shared hosting plans are the lowest tier of web hosting in terms of performance, price and customizability, which leaves those with serious hosting needs to look into VPS, managed hosting, or dedicated hosting options.
