VPS for Scrapebox

I am using the remote desktop connection, maybe it's because my current computer has 4 gigs of DDR3 ram and a 3.5ghz proccesor thats what might make the VPS feel slow... By slow I mean the cursor movement and clicking delay.

I was with xsserver.eu for a bit. The vps plan for $35 bux a month was so damn slow 1 gb ram, I could hardly run 3 instances of sb with it. The blog analyzer would run so slow, it would take forever to even filter the list, it was frustrating. The only good thing is that the vps had already had a licensed version of scrapebox on it (someone else's) hehe. For cheaper $29.95, I went with damnvps I havent even maxed out 3 scrapebox instances yet, and it is wicked fast. The only thing that took time, was the initial vps setup, which took time to figure out how to mount your own os, and setup the rdc. But after that, damn vps is the best value for the money hands down. I dont know why everyone is on xsserver's jock, except for the fact I know xrumer guys use it because they don't listen to complaints, but for scrapebox using proxies, it doesn't matter anyway. I find their servers slow like molasses, but I guess if that is all your use to you wouldn't know any different anyway.

Hello, Dude I am using Nqhost.com VPS is its is the cheapest and the best that I have ever used. 30 GB hard disk also.
but its German still it rocks for SB.

Arggghh 512mb and scrapebox runs so slow. I'm trying to harvest a new list and I'm only getting 30 URLS/sec right now

Still getting 650-60 URLS/sec
Why? I have 250 connections, 600 proxies and a list of 800,000 keywords.
What am I doing wrong? I'm just trying to harvest WP blogs.

I have the 512MB plan, I am only running 1 instance of scrapebox.
My current settings: 800,000 keywords, 600 public proxies, 500 connections each for google and yahoo SE. Yet I'm only harvesting 100 URL/ per search engine.
Should I upgrade my plan? Switch VPS providers or use less keywords? Any advice?

Honestly I don't know how you guys are able to run multiple instances of SB with 1GB RAM.
I'm on xsserver's $35 VPS plan with 1GB RAM. With just 1 instance of SB running the Blog Analyzer, and no other program running (except for Avast anti-virus which is eating up about 50MB of RAM), my task manager is already showing 750MB of RAM taken up, and towards the end of the process, it can go up to 850-900MB, rendering it lagging like $hit. I'm just wondering what went wrong.

I dont get how multiple instances help, wouldn't that lag your internet like hell? I'm using 1 instance.
It also depends on your connection speed.
Also, if I can run 2 instances, I would use each instance for different process, eg scraping vs PR check vs Blog Commenting, etc.
The main point though is I don't run multiple instances because even at a very low count of 20 connections, my VPS is almost on the verge of hanging up on me, let alone running another instance. I was just surprised, and wished I could do the same like them, run few instances, or run SB with other software.

thrustvps not allowing scrapebox and xrumer better stay away.
Honestly I didn't use them but I did ask their support whether they allow SB and they said yes. However, I also asked if they would shut my account if ever there are spam complaints and they said yes.
I think a few hosting would allow SB (those that are recommended by fellow BHW but if ever there are spam complaints, chances are you'd get the account terminated, except for those few hard core hosting that the xrumers are using.
Use proxies. But if the webhost specifically says no to SB, then just look elsewhere. Chances are they will shut u down even if there are no complaints if they ever found out you're running it.
