Hey guys, just looking to see if anyone has some suggestions for a good VPS for someone in Australia. I need to run GSA/Scrapebox/etc and have previously been with powerup hosting which gave me insane amounts of screen lag and was so slow I could barely use it so I refunded it. After that I went with Sharkservers which was a lot better but still not on point, using it was still quite rough.

Powerup hosting servers are located in the US while Sharkservers are in the UK i'm pretty sure, when it comes down to a VPS is my distance in location from the providers servers very important? If so are there any recommendations for others in Australia?

Also to note that getting an Australian VPS is not worth it as you will NEVER find one with unlimited bandwidth or even anything decent.

If all fails i'm looking at just buying a new PC and running it 24/7 but means I will need to up my current bandwidth and not sure if that will even be sufficient.

All help appreciated

At a guess you would be looking for the West Coast of the USA, they will have the best latency to Australia.
Have a look through the special offers on Webhostingtalk and find the ones with a West Coast location (or ask them)

Well thats what I am wondering after my past experiences with servers located in two different areas. Seriously, my screen lag was so bad it was unbearable. This was with a decent VPS as well.

It will all depend on what you do with the box to be honest - is it just for you or other Aussies, in that case find one in Australia.
If you want something for worldwide viewing then West Coast is best just for the latency issues

Thanks for the advice. I ended up going with a server located in Europe from SolidSeoVps and they are awesome, pretty quick and my troubles are over, finally..
