You can install and configure a VPN and use your computer with the IP of the server for all your apps (as if you were in the same US location as the server). Plus, it uses an encrypted connection, so you bypass censoring and/or eavesdropping at your ISP's end.

I installed yet another VPN so I have a fresh IP. I'd recommend choosing CentOS 32bit for this, as it makes it somewhat easier to configure your VPN.

Hi, thanks for letting us know about the offer. Although the processor is very low in power, but there is no problem since its free . It will help guys like me who like to play with linux vps and learn them.

Is anyone's VPS up currently? Mine got turned off for some reason last night and it won't boot anymore.

Sadly this appears to be the case here.

It's funny how cloud services are marketed as "incredibly reliable" etc, yet a stupid virtual server isn't capable of staying up for more than few hours up in the cloud. I'm obviously not complaining as it was free and hardware failures happen all the time. I'd be pissed if I paid for the service as my ticket has been unanswered for > 5 hours already.

Edit: It turns out they never answered the ticket, but the server is back on, so I just closed it. Yeehaw.

From the date I started this thread, I can say that I am very happy with them. I feel I am lucky to get 6 months vps hosting for free.
