VPS and FTP to download from slow servers

Hello,

Would it be viable and within Terms of Use to use a VPS for the following scenario:

Im trying to download a bunch of files from a VERY slow website (max 40kb/sec). Could I use a VPS to download all of these files and then host an FTP server on that VPS that I could connect to and then download all those files to my home PC at a faster speed?

Well it depends, if it's your home connection then no. If it's the website's connection then no. It has to be one or the other (or both). A VPS would only make it faster for you to download if it's faster than the website's connection.
