VPN vs Proxy: Can I combine these tools?

combining VPN and proxy is useful in specific cases. the main one is plugging WebRTC leaks like the post mentions. if you're running an antidetect browser with proxies, a VPN underneath catches any dns or webrtc leaks that might expose your real ip.

but for multi-account management proxies are the clear winner since you can assign different ips per profile. running everything through one VPN defeats the purpose. my setup is VPN as a base layer for general privacy then proxy per browser profile for the actual work.

Both VPN and proxy can be configured to pass WebRTC tests. Both will affect your TCP fingerprint.
There is no need to combine VPN and proxy, but you can do this to increase your privacy.

Quick question about VPN + residential proxy setups:
I noticed that in some cases, using a VPN farther from the proxy results in better speed and lower latency than using a VPN closer to the proxy.
Is this likely due to network routing, ISP peering, or other factors? Any insights would be appreciated.
