VPN Reselling

What are your views on VPN reselling?

It seems to me that VPN is big business and that it will grow. I found a VPN reseller via the big G and filled out the sign-up form. They responded with an email asking what my target market is.

Well - I don't want to reply saying "black hat" marketers - ha! What kind of users would use VPN?

What's your opinion on reselling VPN in general? Would it be more cost efficient setting up your own VPN network. I figure with all the costs - VPS, VPN software, tech support, maintenance etc. it would be more convenient to resell.

Yes mate, I agree with you there is good money to be made there.

I only suspect there are tons of affiliate sites out there, so you must find a way to be seen with your offers. That is the hardest part in my opinion.

I think you'd better start your own VPN service, although there are lots of them already.
It's not that hard to setup your VPN service and even if you have zero experience in that area you still can hire some one for like $100 to do the job for you.

This is true, but you could say that about a lot of IM products and services. You just have to find a way to market, but yes, that's the harder part.

Set up isn't really the issue. Agreed- from a monetization POV it's more ideal. However, set up isn't the only cost. It's the rest of the deal that I mentioned. Reseller alleviates these problems.

Anyway, I replied to the service. Will see what they come back with and what their fees are like - high expect. Ha!

And can someone give me any ideas on how to market the service? Thanks
