VPN removal

I bought a PC locally to run some trading programs and I can't remove the Cisco VPN w/o an administrator UserName/PW, which the Seller didn't tell me about. The Seller has since disappeared as usual :( Can you help me please. Thank you!

Gonna need to reformat your drive. Save your relevant files, get a fresh OS install ready as needed, and you're good to go.
 
The VPN is making it difficult to wipe the computer. What are the correct steps to do that, I have a boudoir I am so ready to go on external drive to reinstall windows.
 
Is it branded PC?
Or custom PC?

Bios is accessable and you can change boot options?

If yes, You can do what ever you want.

Get windows 10 usb bootable ready by burn ISO image using poweriso free version.

Then go to bios by pressing any of these keys: Del or F2 or F10 or F12

Change boot option to USB you plugged in.

Go to windows setup and format your drive.

All VPN and other things including will be gone and install new OS.
 
You might need to do a factory reset on the PC, this would clear all data and apps. You can also try to put PC in safe mode to check if you can uninstall the Cisco VPN from there.

The Bios is admin PW locked down, and I can't find the Seller to get that info. How can I wipe the machine?

ohh i see.

I had faced this issue once for a friend laptop some times old pc password can be found on internet for their bios usually it's same.

Check for your model on Google.
 
how old is that computer? its worth trying removing CMOS battery from the motherboard

It won;t ;let me run the formatting program like Rufus
 
Like the other person suggested above, remove CMOS battery to clear bios password and then using any Linux live boot and sticky key exploit, reset the admin password.
 
Cisco VPN, Locked down Bios, no admin account hmmm…. Might as well be a stolen/lost corporate laptop. Guess yo got it extremely cheap as well? Don’t be surprised if cops come knocking on your door. Keep all the proof of purchase etc ready just in case.
