Both have their applications. VPNs or proxy are nothing but a tunel that makes the service you use think that you are situated in some other country by allocation you an IP from other country and tunneling your requests through their servers.
What makes them different is, VPN is used by all apps and on the network and it can also be used to tunel back into your private network with additional layers of encryption while proxy is used by a single app and would simply route your request through another country's servers.

prefer go with premium VPN or proxies, because free VPN almost all ips are blacklisted

it all depends on your goal, if you run any software it is better to use proxy and if you are going to create accounts you can use a 5g proxy, or use a vpn that is not blacklisted, You should test which vpn suits you best. personally both can be used what changes is the purpose example you want to create accounts from different countries at the same time with software in that case you will need proxy

Agree. Free solutions already abused so you will not get good results. For creating accounts you need to spend money. How much/acc depends how many of them you plan to create. Usually its just cheaper to buy then create yourself if you need a bit.

Depends. A simple use case for both..
vpn: If you are looking to be anonymous while using your computer. Or you need system wide anonymity. Because vpn programs create a virtual network adapter, it will be much safer to use in general.
proxy: If you need a specific application to be anonymous, like a bot may be. It will be faster to send a (new) proxied request to lets say a chromium server every time, than having to disable and re enable the vpn adapter (considering you can have multiple ip/server locations with it).
Many use both vpn and proxy together. vpn in this case could be used as a safety fall back if something fails.
As for recommendation, I currently use multivad vpn and I can recommend them. It’s not free, but it is pretty cheap.

It's not recommended to use free proxies, purchase some cheap ones and they will always be better
