why in 2020 are people still thinking its a good idea to use VPNS to make accounts or even use accounts...its asking to get banned. they are abused so badly, and all the social media companies know the i.p ranges of all the vpns

I think that there are only a few VPN that provide residential IPs, but don't know if they actually work, cause I've never used them...

You're right about Facebook.
But some dating social media networks don't care. They understand that people might have to mask their internet identities due to certain restrictions.

No you're wrong, If the IP clean and you use always same pc and same browser. it will live long.
But most of the datacenter ips are bad.
And the Residential IP/proxy its all from botnet and its not a good ips
Mobile Internet ips going bad day by day and now a days bulk creation success very low.

you should not use vps to create facebook account, you usually use your own home network

Depends on the VPN. If it's one you're hosting yourself on some cloud service with multiple IPs available to you, it's probably ok since they won't be known IPs, although it's possible to whois the IP address and check if it matches a cloud service provider. No idea if FB does that.
You can go with residential or 4G proxies but you can run into the same issue as with non-private VPN IPs: You don't know if FB has blacklisted them.
It really depends on your needs. Do you need to make accounts from different countries/cities or just one? Are you trying to make 5 accounts? 10? 100? 1000?

i would never recommend vpn as those ips are very much black listed
