Hey. I need to get a VPN for blackhat activities. We're talking stuff that the police WOULD try tracking me down for. Does anyone know a good place to find a bulletproof one or anything like that? I tried searching, but apparently "vpn" is too short, so it's not counted in the search. Proxies won't work for what I'm doing right now.

If anyone knows anything, please help me out.. Would be very appreciated. Thanks for your time!

I've yet to hear about "bulletproof" vpns, but you can try

1)Buying a bulletproof VPS and setting it up as a VPN or using remote desktop
2)Using open proxies online- many people use it, and it's almost untraceable as they are mainly zombie computers.
3)Buying proxies with a VCC from a distant country. It's extremely rare for you to be traced using your IP address, unless you are in a developed country, and have a static IP address and your ISP maintains its records well. Most authorities I know immediately give up on the IP trail when they realize that it is a proxy. It's rare for them to locate the proxy server and request logs from them- proxy servers rarely maintain logs on their users(if they do, they are probably spying on you). Even if they manage to locate the proxy server, and get the logs, chances are that they will get tens or hundreds of IP addresses which will technically make it inadmissible if they track you down because it's hard to prove who used a certain proxy and when.

Use 2 proxies, and your probably 99% anonymous.

4) Just in case, if you're doing some dodgy stuff, and your IP address gets logged- It's easily blamed on a virus that you "had" sometime ago, or just get another old PC filled with viruses in the worst case senario when you are tracked down.

Thanks a lot for the informative post.. However, I already know most of this stuff. I can't really use a proxy here, as I'm using it with a program that doesn't support proxies. Viruses cannot be blamed with what I'm doing right now.. It's not just spam or anything like that. I'm in Denmark where the ISPs keep fairly extensive logs and such.

Is there any way to use a proxy as a VPN? I have a good, private one which doesn't keep logs, but as I said, it's not supported by the program.. Alternatively, is there any way to run everything in VMWare through a Proxy connection, for example?

Thanks, Darkstar, but it seems a little expensive to me, compared with some other services. I've used www.swissVPN.net and they have been absolutely perfect, but I don't think they like blackhat things, so I'm not comfortable with them. However, I have downloaded with over 1,5mb/s with their VPN on, so it's awesome.

Anyways, I'm wondering: Does anyone have experience with http://openvpn.net/ ? It looks like I can just install it on a VPS and then run a VPN through it, which would really be perfect. Anyone know anything about them?

Why don't you try proxyfirewall ? You define a rule for the program and all outbound connections from the program will go through the proxy. No need to pay for vpn ...

Sounds perfect. However, I googled "proxy firewall" and got five different sites, can't really find out which one's the right one. Could you link me to the right site please? Would be perfect :)
Nevermind, found it: http://uniqueinternetservices.com/proxy-firewall-download.html
I'll try it out now!

EDIT2: Thanks so much, it's working PERFECTLY for me now! This is a must-have program.

EDIT3: Fail. It only works with .exe programs, which means that it fails to enable a proxy for my .jar file..

Does anyone know of a program like proxyfirewall, but better? It doesn't detect all the packets that go in/out..

The best way to use a VPN is to setup your own. Get an anonymous prepaid credit card and order a VPS or dedicated server in another country. Setup your own VPN on the server. This guarantees there will be no traffic logs.

I know that. What I'm asking you right now is: How do I set up the VPN? :)

I would go with setting up my own VPN, but if not, i've heard nice things about this people: witopia.net (I'm not related to this site or their owners in any way).

Google "SSH VPN"
Many people setup a VPN between themselves and a server this way. Everything is encrypted between you and the server.

Haha - just remember to start the VPN before committing your evil deeds...

actuallt i use vpn + proxy in chan to be safe. i suggest u the same. just vpn might be not enough :)
