Wouldn't it be better to offer a membership to someone for doing work for you for a set amount of time? I just can't figure out why people would want to volunteer to do work for a forum they have to pay to get full benefit from. My perspective is coming from someone who is too broke to be VIP JR so maybe its skewed. I just wonder what the benefit would be. Maybe telling people in the post would get more better applications.

Giving back to a community that has helped you is not a bad thing.
I was a Volunteer Mod for 5 years and never thought about getting any benefit other than the good feeling of helping others by serving the community.
