Hi all.
So, Penguin, we meet again.
I've been experiencing non-attributable patterns and trends with a number of sites I look after. Some up, some down. Local phrases, nationwide for example [#service in london] I've noticied a drop in quite considerably, but this is down to Possum.
I'm finding that new websites, with very small link equity profiles, once the links go up via PBN (say 3-5 per month), since Sept-23rd have taken a dramatic fall of up to 60+ positions. Some keywords have dropped fully (past page 10 of Google) and some have dropped 30 - 60 positions.
I expect it could be the diversification of link anchor texts tipped too much in favour of "money" keywords, and a broad range of diversified link anchors are required due to the small link profile these domains already hold, tipping it way over the 'threshold' point.
However for the larger sites, with 1,000's+ links from a broad array of sources, have seen an improvement on the whole.
Just sharing some stats / figures - would be nice to hear if anyone else has seen this?
It could also be the whole 'dancing' mechanism which I tend to see during the beginning of the campaign, but I haven't seen anything drastic like I've seen in the last 2 weeks or so.
Thoughts?
