I need a voice to text software that converts the recorded audio into a text file or word file.

Can you use android software. There is excellent app on store called SpeachText but i didn't google does it exist as a desktop app.

I installed an app in google chrome believe it was called voice to text and its free, do a search in the apps and you should find it worked great on my lenovo laptop.

As long they don't force you to use their toolbar and popup their aps everyday its good to use it. Do you have problems like this ?

Well I've only tested it a couple of times but haven't noticed any forced or unwanted toolbars.
