I'd be curious to hear what else can be done as well. I've only encountered one stubborn application that still continued detecting the VM after these changes.
He, He...Basically, i have come across with only one application that detects that is running on a VM, that is ....rental.net is this your app OP?
I don't know how it is doing it but i suspect from the Network names such as VMware-1 etc. So your best chance would be to rename those network names IMO.
