VMWare and acronis???

has anyone taken a image disk made from acronis and installed it into a vmware?

im new to both so does anyone have links to help or some tips?

do i just set up a vmware then copy the image disk or will it need to be installed someway?

I haven't used Acronis specifically, but if the Acronis image file is a bootable ISO, you should just be able to tell VMware to use that when booting a new VM. It will start up the VM and boot off that disk. So, you configure your new VM, tell VMware to boot from your ISO, then fire up the VM and it should boot into the Acronis image and allow you to restore or whatever the Acronis image allows. If the Acronis file is just a proprietary image file, you'll need to install the OS in your VM and restore from the Acronis application. Hope that helps.

thanks but what is the right forum?

i think this is a blackhat. think about it. ability to use multiple installs of programs plus using trial versions over and over is a blackhat tool. it is not a legal one in many ways which is why i posted it here.

using trial versions over and over and over on same and different pcs without paying for them is not bh?
