[ViRuS] FiX it - I pay

Download a windows boot cd onto a USB flashdrive

Link: http://www.ultimatebootcd.com/

Then run from the USB flashdrive on BIOS and it will come with all kinds of anti-virus removal tools and its very easy to remove the viruses or whatever you have.

Very fast also , Lots of PC technicians use that tool :)

@Ericcson XSserver, I bought the server 2-3 weeks ago, 35$

OK I changed my mind, I will take a look (IF NEEDED). OP just let me know.

Well before you pay these guys to fix your problems try these out..

Autoruns will list all the services/auto starting programs on your Windows OS.

SIW will tell you info about your system, and when you click on the "autorun" tab on the left sidebar it will list every process that start when windows starts up. This tool is free, and does just fine, but with the paid version you get more info. But for you the demo will do the trick.

Microsoft process explorer does what it says, it list all the active process running on windows.

Use these, check for suspicious files, be careful on what you delete tho, if you try this and cant figure it out you can PM me and ill try to help you via Team Viewer or Mikogo. But i think you can do this yourself w/o paying someone here to do so man.

Does any1 have any detections with their AV?

So have you fixed it or not?

Still keen to take a look if it's not resolved. I will take a look at the vps, not worried about picking up the virus, let me know.

Most AVs will not detect this kind of infection as they are not designed to do so. Surprisingly, such a crappy name, SuperAntiSpyware does better than most paid AVs out there.

have you isolated that it is actually your system that is infected?

have you tried connecting to a different VPS?

Hey by the symptoms you're providing, sounds like your gateway is fucked, not your computer. Did you tried other ISP?

You're probably wasting your time. Rootkits are hard to get rid of and you can never be sure if it's been crippled enough to not pose a future threat anymore. Alternative file streams, journal hooks, kernel APIs... you'd spend weeks chasing ghosts.

Best to meditate for an hour or so (:D), then bite the bullet, do a format -> fdisk /mbr -> another format -> reinstall.

do a format -> fdisk /mbr -> another format -> reinstall.

first format: program jumps into mbr
fdisk /mbr: program jumps into partition
another format: program jumps back into mbr
reinstall: program jumps back into partition

Final conclusion: program is a fucking grasshopper!

Lol, $20.00 to protect your bank account. I quit reading after that point.

I deal with retards all day long. They call me up, talk too much, try to find out what I will do for them for free, get my price, then want to "negotiate", lol.

LOL! They want to "negotiate". I hang up on the dumbasses. There's your fucking "negotiation". How about, instead of having a trained professional make certain your computer is secure, instead you hire some half-ass jack-leg that doesn't know jack shit to wave his magic fuck-stick over your computer, ejaculate his holy healing jism all over your CPU, RAM, memory-thingie, use a bit of social engineering to pry the money lose and convince you your computer is fixed, just long enough to get the fuck out of Dodge before you figure out you've been screwed.

So, anyways, that's the "inside line" on why it is that why some people can never find a qualified contractor. They wave a bright red "I'm a fucking cheap-ass retard" flag in their face so hard that it drives them away, and no one else is left but the people that haven't got a clue.

LoL who pissed in your cheerios today?
I hope you were not applying that your a professional, because there is no way you would speak in this manor if that was the point you were trying to get out.

I read the OP's other thread, and it sounds like your VPS might have been compromised with a bitcoin minor. This would explain your lose of cpu & connection speeds. But no way to tell w/o looking.
All these comments about "AV's not being able to detect it" means nothing at all, a new virus is made every few seconds. And AV's wont detect them till they are found and submitted to be analyzed.

1. "Cheerios"
2. "implying"
3. "you're"
4. "manner"
5. "Bitcoin"
6. "Miner"
7. "loss"

I would definately take computer advice from this guy. Clearly he knows his stuff, and his price is just right.
