Good intentions mate but you placed the question so Wrong. maybe if you started by mentioning what you had available it would have been of great help people could have requested from your list what they would want on their Machine

i would like to see in it
BMD any version just working fine
xrummer ,, ,, ,, ,, ,,
Firefox with Tor or proxy add-ons

and any more useful black hat tools on the forums that working fine
--------
it is good project, just don't give up

If anyone wants to provide me with a list of BH Tools and their links I cant something like this up pretty quickly for you all.

I already have a custom slim-lined version of XP with Tor / Privoxy installed just need to know what you want for the rest.

Good idea, bukmarked this.
Tor is slow, may be some proxy tools,finder,checker..

Are you going to give us the ISO image with a preregistered or cracked version of windows? Looking forward to your contribution!

Why risk getting the site shutdown, besides theres plenty of special versions of windows on thepiratebay. Side note I still find it amusing that the bay appears first spot when googled. (It does for me at least)

Don't forget to add BHW to the bookmark list in the default browser ;)

I would split it up into sections like the BackTrack Linux Live CD. So sections like: Scrapers, Desktop Mailers, Proxy Tools, etc.

Edit:

Backtrack is a penetration testing linux distribution which has different sections for software and scripts (organized nicely). It's not related to internet marketing. Well it could be, depending on how black hat you go.

Yea I suppose he could go linux with it. It would be eaiser then building it from ground up. Could use a stripped version of Ubuntu or prehaps Arch as a base. Ubuntu has been doing better then most if not all the other Distros when it comes to system compatiblity. But whatever floats your boat though. A Live CD be awesome though.

As I diehard Linux user I would have to strongly voice my vote for a Linux live cd. Honestly you can't get much safer. As for distros my vote would be for Ubuntu for simplicity sake even though it does lock you out from accessing some system paths.

I really hope this is not a dead thread as it is such an awesome idea.

I think that a lot of people are forgetting that not many apps are available for linux...

at least not the ones tht people here at BHW use often... so then what's the point?

Having a vm image with linux and seldom used software? which by the way, don't work as well as their windows counterparts?

amost all this BH stuff is coded for windows, not to mention that almost all of it is VB... so then what's the point?

I don't get it..

a linux image with notepad, an html editor, ftp client and browser? Kind of pointless.

For this project, what is the purpose of keeping everything in a VM? I use VMs to keep my projects separate and to help maintain focus. That is, one VM per project.

If the purpose of this project is to create a "starter-kit", maybe a custom installer package of common tools is better than creating a custom VM?

I would also prefer linux but as cheesecake state most BH progs are coded for windows.

However over the years I have gotten pretty good at make windows progs work in linux.

Also I still need a list of which BW tools are needed.

As in would you want a built-in server?

Other Apps:
  • I prefer Filezilla (since its cross platform) for FTP
  • Firefox and Opera with tor/privoxy
  • A Blog commenter. ------ Which is best??
  • Bookmarking Deamon ----- Could some pm/post me a link cause I believe the current one is down
  • Also Please pm/post links to the other apps you would like.
