Hey, just launched my event with a CPA about two days ago. And was wondering if I should shut it down soon to avoid getting in-trouble or getting a C&D from FB.
Traffic started at 2k invite and just hit 10k invites.

Thanks.

from what I understand facebook is reaaalllyyy slow at shutting down these events. I ve seen some last for weeks so you should be fine. Don't use cpa-lead either.ever

"cpa-lead" is that a network? should I shut it down or let it get shut down?

Yes, it's an ad network. They need only be tickled before sending anyone your information. My opinion... if it's still up you have nothing to worry about. Keep it up and keep banking.

Thanks Crazy, do events get ghosted?? It seems I just came to a halting stop all of the sudden..

Haven't messed with Events in a very long time so I really don't know what they've done as of late, however it wouldn't surprise me. Chances are if it's not ghosted, the invite process has been rate limited, and by that I mean that when anyone tries to invite their friends to the event they are told the event has generated too many invites in a short period of time and to try again later.

Nope Facebook seems to work at stopping any method that is hot at that moment. Once there is no one doing it, Facebook then stops policing that method. That's why Events are working decently compared to a year ago.

Keep it up man, I'm hoping the event was made on a separate account and your domain + hosting is offshore!

I'm not into FB marketing myself but what works in most other networks is to spread your campaign. Instead of making one really big one that goes viral and gets shut down, make a few small ones so it doesn't seem as hot. Or you could do what big businesses do and squeeze out as much money as possible in as little time as possible. Invest in some black Colombia coffee beforehand though from you local supermarket:pirate:

Yeah I agree with everyone here, ******* is a horrible network. If you do not wan't the event you could give the account away to someone here, I am sure they would appreciate it, or sell it.

Hypothetically facebook would have a hard time doing anything to you if you pay for EVERYTHING (domain reg, server purchase/hosting, ect.) with a fake paypal or VCC through proper proxies, trusted servers and networks that will protect you.

Don't take it down, just when it gets to about 2 million awaitiing reply make a new event and redirect new traffic to that event.
