I donated the money for the VIP section.

The payment went thru but I do not see the VIP section listed
anywhere here in the forums.

I would appreciate any help or advice...

you're pink!! either you chose donor instead of jr vip or it didn't kick in yet.

In order to gain entrance to the Jr. VIP area, you must be a member of the forum for at least 60 days, have at least 100 quality posts, and make a $97 donation donation to the forum. Jr. VIP membership gives you access to our hidden forums and downloads section, which is NOT indexed by any search engines or viewable by any non Jr. VIP members. Note: it may take up to an hour or more for the forum to update your post count and status.

Your not Jr. VIP, your a donor.

To become Jr. VIP you need 100 or more quality posts, and been a member for a certain amount of time I believe.
 
So I guess I should dispute my 97.00 that I paid to paypal.
I was a member here in the past also with a VIP membership but I did not renew and was not on the site for a year or so, when I tried my username and password they did not work so I made up another username.

on what grounds are you going to dispute? that you couldnt read the details before you paid?

try contacting a mod, and maybe they can find your old account for you
 
I nearly made the same mistake!! ALWAYS READ THE SMALL PRINT!! U should have known that a new account could not become VIP overnight
 
Thanks for your replies, how would I get a hold of a mod to sort this out.

I do not think disputing the donation is a good idea. It is not BHW fault that you did not read the terms, which are very clear about the 100 post.

Just count it as a business expense and a good lesson learned. Besides even without the VIP you will more than $100 worth of knowledge on BHW.

When you put in your time and contribute quality info to the forum you can become a VIP then.

Just want to throw out there that way back when I bought my first JR VIP sub, I only had about 40 posts, but was allowed anyways. But I had been there the minimum amount of time. It does seem like you just payed for the wrong thing though.

It is not in small print. It 's the first sentence of the description of the Jr Vip and it's in red color to make it pop up and noticable.

OP, try hitting the irc channel, there are usually supermods hanging around.
 
Just found out what happened.
In the past I was unable to log into my old account, so recently I made a new account.
I just found my password to my old account which I have since 2009...
Since I do not know how to contact the mods, I will enter a dispute and ask for them to put the VIP membership on my old account.
