Vimeo or Youtube?

Sometimes I see companies using Vimeo in stead of Youtube,

while youtube is a hell of a lot more populair and better because of the relationship with Google.

Can someone explain the benefits of putting companie video's on vimeo (or somewhere else) in stead of Youtube.
