Just made a Tik tok today to post my warzone clips. I’m pretty good at the game and have some amazing plays from my streams I decided to cross promote on Tik tok. After I get 400 views all traction is dead in the water. I get 400 views quick and a bunch of likes and a few follows. Is this common? I didn’t expect to get so much exposure in just a few hours, but I’m confused as to why it seems like the algorithm just gives up on me at the 400 mark.

yeah that's common on tik tok, no worries
Is it because my account is new? Or am I doing something wrong? That’s the main question. I’m getting a solid amount of likes and up 41 followers in 24 hours but still can’t exceed 500

Its because your account is new, i have seen that with many people

When an account is new, the follower count increases rapidly but then it settle down for some time

72 hours in. 63 followers and almost 1700 likes. A mediocre video with hardly and likes gained 2200 views and blew up. My other content with 50% like ratio and full watch time hasn’t moved that I posted 2 hours later. I don’t get Tik tok.

It is normal, I’m studying tiktok algorithm and understood that you’ll get a chance to go viral every tot days (depends by how tiktok ranked you since last videos) for example for me every 6 days tiktok let my video go viral (over 100k views)

Really? Interesting. One video at 9am got 2100 views and the one I posted at 3am got 1,000. It doesn’t make sense that my content that’s decent gets mass exposure and my best videos get 133 views now.

Tik Tok is not really about great content or at least not only about that, especially if you have a bunch of followers (not a big account). It’s all about luck at the beginning, hope that your content go to the right people soon.
I personally advice you to have like ten videos and always re upload them until one of them explode, because it all depends on the first round of users your video find:
I upload a video that got 1200 views (not bad) i post 2 contents and days later i re uploud that and now that vide has 200K views and 2K comments. Just luck, but guess that video too has gotten viral after 6 days from the other one who got 100 K

Btw remember that new algorithm update of June delayed views and video explosion: it is really common that video after 5 or more hours, also days, get on fyp again. It happened to me with some video that got only 2K and now they have 15K, after 3 days they were online

Very interesting! So with high likes and follows from a video I should just wait it out? My videos get like a 30-40% like rate and some comments and just kinda sit there. Maybe it’s because my account is new.

Do you just reupload the videos and delete or private the old ones?

I got like 280 K views, 58K likes 1100 come ts and 3K shares. Brought me not that much followers only like 500 or 600 more or less.
I usually re upload videos more and more times. I deleted the old ones but i made a mistake because it is more useful to set them private, i got a views decrease after deleting videos for the following ones

That’s gotta be it! I deleted a few videos because I thought I was shadowbanned two days ago! That makes sense on why my views are stuck!
