Views From Looping Embedded YouTube Video

I thought that embedding a looping Youtube Video on a website will not give you increased views on Youtube.

I embedded a video on one site a week ago and have it looping. In that time there have only been about 200 visitors to that website and yet the video views are at 1500. According the Video Statistics 1425 views have originated from the website.

Probably a logical explanation but I can't work it out. (The hangover from Watching too many Rugby World Cup games over the weekend may have something to do with it.)

Well obviously it does give multiple views.

Everywhere I have read says that views of an embedded video do not increase the view count on YT. This seems to be the case with all my other embedded videos. I did use a slightly different embed code for this one though.

Have had another 150 views so far today and yet only 5 visitors to the site so I guess it does work.
