I have been using Statcounter WP Plugin for awhile now, since i did not want to use GA for all my sites, and I came across some other people's stat pages.. This info can be useful if there are competitors that are using statcounter.

use the following search on google to see stats for sites using statcounter:

    Code:
    "Based purely on a cookie" intitle:statcounter intitle:summary

As a user of the product I do not like that the info is insecure, so I will be switching..

If I am not mistaken, there is an option in stat counter to make your stats public. These sites probably have it turned on.

Yep. Statcounter has the option to use public and private stats. also you can use a counter button or use invisible one. I'm quite sure the sites aren't using either of them.

Yes, on projects... there is "Locked" icon. If you click on it, you have an option to make the website's status public or not. By default, public stats are Disabled.

Should it be chosen the project to make public, there is also an option that only the summary will be available for public view.

Yeah, after doing further research, i realized these sites had to manually turn stats to public.

However there are some useful info you can gain.. Spent some time looking through stats, keywords etc..
