I’m looking at the tags on my YouTube video and the extension tells me that my video is ranked #3 on multiple tags. However, if I open an incognito window and search for any of those tags, my video isn’t even in the top 15 videos. What’s going on here?

they do check the search position from their server location, that might be different from yours, youtube have different serp positions on different locations

It's the same as when you search for your keyword when you're logged in. It gives your personal results.
