Just wondering how many of you do this here?
I've returned to many online games I haven't touched for years, and this is a pretty profitable source if done properly.
It's recommended you start with "some" capital but it's not required. Go to highly popular MMOs and you can bank nicely.

For people with starter money, think about the most basic job of all...merchant. Buy REALLY rare or desired items and sell for more. Negotiate business relationships with high-ranking players where they do the grinding/looting and you market/sell for 50%. Finding ways to make it easy are what keeps it fun and profitable. Maybe it's only for people already interested in gaming, but I enjoy it and that's what I strongly advise anyone. Do what you like or love, remember you're still alive and life can pass you by pretty fast.

Thanks for reading.

P.S.
I just got into Sword Art Online lol. Inspired me to get at it again.

Nice idea, but I think the problem with any of those games is that you'll be competing against Chinese gold/item farmers who already have a whole team dedicated to this so it'll be hard to be profitable with this approach, but of course, it's been such a long time that I played any games so I don't really know what the markets like anymore.

nowadays there are bots that you can just leave and they'll farm for you :)

for example in WOW there is http://www.honorbuddy.com/ which not only farms like crazy but you can set it up to go on raids and do BG's and arena games and it plays better than 70% of the human players :))

a year back when i was playing wow i left it running on my PC a lot and i never had to pay for a gamecard :) just bought them with gold which you can still do today

That's really cool Imxftw, and a true statement Change 47. But yes the field has definitely changed since those years, players still make a nice profit from this, even if it's not a "living". You can even sell great starter account to noobs who just want to have a headstart, or people who need medium lvl profiles for any reason. Find what people crave and you found your goldmine.
