Assuming the sharing of the video is legal under fair use rights, what is the legality around putting your watermark on a video that you don't have rights to?
In no way will you be claiming the video belongs to you but simply putting a watermark with nothing more than the URL of your site which has content relevant in nature to the video.
Some large video sharing sites automatically put their watermark on every video upload but they don't necessarily own every video. Same thing with some image upload services.
