Video View Increase Benefits?

I often see on BH people trying to manipulate the amount of views that a video clip gets by using tools such as TubeBooster.

What are the benefits that you see, to justify doing this?

The benefits I see are:
- Gives the video/channel more exposure if it qualifies for a YT award (for example, #1 most views today etc)

- When people see the video has thousands of views they will be more likely want to add a video response, as they will think it will help them get more traffic. This in turn helps you as their video will say it's a response to your video.

Can you guys think of other advantages of upping the view count of your videos?

That's true, having more views increases your exposure, which in turn gives you a better chance to get an honor, which leads to even more exposure.

I actually added a video on Saturday and so far it's had over 50,000 views.

I looked at the stats and quite a large % of these views came because it happened to qualify for an award so was on one of Youtube's main pages.

No false viewing increase, but it goes to show what an award can do for your video exposure.

Yup, but of course, i believe most of the views come from the 'Featured Videos' list, so if your lucky enough to have one of your videos on the list.. Hello Youtube Fame xD

Do you (or anybody else) know if TubeBooster still works? I've had it installed for a while but not used it in ages. Upon loading it's asking me to update to 2.1.14.0 but if YT have some how prevented it from working, there isn't any point.
