Video to "animated" (2D) object for Unity?

Hey guys,

I am working on a new application and i want to make some animated blocks.

Now it has to be a object. I was curious if it is actually possible to make a video into a 3D/2D object somehow. It will always be faced from the front so it does not actually have to be a 3D object.

There will be a lot on a single page so simply adding a video is not what i am looking for.

If any one has some tips on achieving this i would love to hear them.
