First make sure your title/description/tags target the keyword you want to rank for, then send views, likes,comments,shares,subscribers, also I heard backlinks help rank videos too, but I don't really do them. But the above info usually works great for me.

It's just like any other kind of SEO, but it's easier because you get your videos hosted on a linking powerhouse- Youtube.
As an advice, make sure you don't just copy paste videos from other people's channel. Create your own video, with audio and voice (if fit) as these matter.
Try to build a high quality content channel that will also attract natural links, which will make your channel and each video you post more powerful

You can sprinkle some keywords in the annotations and also in your description break down your video in time segments and put the times there.
