Ive searched around a bit but i havent really found an easy way to make videos on youtube from my computer. Can anyone tell me a program to make videos, similar to slideshows on powerpoint. Id prefer it not to cost money out of pocket:)

Something just to make slideshows?? Windows Movie Maker for Windows. iMovie for Mac. Those are both preinstalled, and are very basic if you're just looking to make slideshows. I believe even Powerpoint can export things to a movie file. (i.e. .avi, .mov, etc.)

I use Sony Vegas for all my video editing needs. It's a bit advanced for someone new(it was to me) but you'll get use to it. Not a day goes by that I don't use Vegas. It cost money, but if you do some searching on Google, you can find a KG.

I used Windows Movie Maker when I first started video mixing. You might want to try that first and then move on to something more advanced like Vegas.

    Same story here.

Started with WMM and now SV is my number one tool for vid creation.
It's advanced enough to create decent professional looking vids (especially compared to what you find on YT).

Still looking for some spare time to get even more advanced with Adobe After Effects.....but heck...time is money....:D
