Simple question.
Let`s say that I want to build an WP based website that streams video(like youtube). How do I manage to host that amount of video (without embedding).
Do you know any services or any why of streaming HD video?

Hope you got the idea. Want to build an website and convince people to upload videos. Simple

If you are starting out try CirtexHosting (They allow top video script hosting solutions). Its shared but cheap. They also provide dedicated servers by the name HostV.

I was thinking of all the websites that are hosting Tv Shows. They are using a lot of space.

If you build website and convince people to upload videos, just use own storage or use any file hosting services and using their api then get users to upload into your site.

But then better to use own storage system, so users can upload and you can able to allow online stream.

But how much is that going to cost me? I know for a fact that web storage is kind of expensive.

Lot of college and universities or online training pros use http://vimeo.com/business
If you need more options then that. Make sure you have around $1000/month to spend as video hosting is not cheap.
I got a quote from RackSpace way back 3 years ago, it was $1000 plus.

You could try amazon s3 they charge $0.0300 / GB storage and $0.120 / GB for data transfer out.

I just want the users to be able to upload their videos and when they watch them I don`t want them to see in a little vimeo or any other services.
Is there a way of making the videos look like they are local hosted?

By using their api?IDK
