Does anyone know a good video game wholesaler in the USA or Canada? Can't seem to find any good ones.

You could go into a video games store and ask for empty boxes. Those boxes might have the shipping label still on them, indicating the source of their games. I know it works for other industries because I have done it. Getting the wholesaler to sell to you is a whole different story.

Video games are published, like movies and books. There is no wholesale distributor for these items. You have to go direct to the publisher. Once a movie or game has been out for a long time, then you can find a distributor and get them at cheap, wholesale prices for sure, but you will not want them at that point. The mark-up on video games is barely 2.5% in almost every scenario, unless you are Best Buy, Walmart, game Stop, etc... and can agree to buy millions of dollars worth of games every year. Even then, there is only a 3%-4% mark-up for those stores.

The publisher is most likely not going to want to make a deal with anyone with low volume unless you are already established and have a foothold in the community with a brick and mortar location. The only way that this is possible is that you own a used game store, have been in business a few years and get a good amount of foot traffic into your store. Then its beneficial for the publisher, obviously.

You can definitely still make money, and a lot of it. Used and refurbed stuff is how you make a decent profit in this situation. Especially since buying video games is quickly becoming a thing of the past. Nintendo, Xbox and PlayStation all sell digital copies of the game that you can download directly to the console and have them forever. You can even re-download them unlimited times to your console should they get erased on accident. They can now be backed up to flash-drives and other portable media, as well. So, as sale of physical games continues to decrease at a fast rate, used physical game sales are actually on the rise. The digital downloaded version of the game is still $60 when the game gets released and it usually takes 6-8 months after the release before you see the prices get to $30 or so. People who cannot afford that price, or want to try it before they commit that much money go buy used games.

Let me add one thing. There is a good wholesaler for video games, but they are mostly used. I point it ut because there are some newer games that they offer from time to time that are brand new. usually these are shelf pulls from the larger retailers or overages in production runs. but, if you visit there site, you will see why I maintain there are no wholesalers... just look at the prices and then look the game up on eBay.. The used game are even kind of high there to be honest...

Thank you for all the great info. I notice that there are many sellers on amazon selling brand new games lower than what I get from my suppliers. I was looking to see if anyone knows a good wholesalers for new games for extremely cheap price. But I guess it's hard to find.

You can check out codeswholesale.com they don't sell physical stock but game codes like G2A etc do.

Only issue is for the most part the prices aren't much different to g2a.

I played around with the idea of opening a game code site with their API to automate. In truth and as said above all sales are done by publishers so any codes got from G2A, codeswholesale etc are more likely stolen using nicked credit cards, paypal accounts etc. From what I've seen and researched it is losing the publishers millions and I decided not to be apart of that!

Anyone else any more suggestions? JJgames.com is good for used games. Does anyone have any other distributors they want to share?
