Would love to have a game maker make real life or true to life 3D games, with the best graphics etc for me, as I have all the software like Game Maker,Platinum Sandbox,Cinema 4D,3D Max,etc, but lack the natural skills and know how of many of the good ones.

As have great concepts for many, but, due to lack of skills and not having the latest and greatest PC, I can't start on my ideas! Some of the free software downloads seen to have gliches,on a brand new state of the art Lap Top! So any information I can get on how I could go about getting someone else to do what I want, and pay them upon completion, plus how to not get scammed, ideas stolen etc, would be great! I have listened to Tim Ferriss's 4 hour work week but realized you need cash to do leveraging as he suggests!

Ideas are worth dime a dozen. I can see by your post that you are still young as you exhibit some wishful thinking. Quick down-to-earth facts:

1. Realistic 3d graphics cost a lot. Lot like 40 million USD.
2. Game development teams for serious AAA titles, consist of hundreds of people. Even one of the greatest video game developer (John Carmack) cannot develop AAA title alone, and trust me, he is at least 40-60 times more productive than top of the class graduate.
3. No one will work on AAA title with someone who hasn't at least published a mid-range game (2-5 mil USD).

On the other hand...

1. Serious money can be made in games, some Flash game developers earn tens of thousands of dollars each year (not serious money for some of you, but still substantial amount)
2. Development tools are more sophisticated and complete then ever.
3. There is still hope for you.

My suggestion: download free version of Unity from the web, go through few tutorials just to see what is needed to even begin considering game development and then decide if this is your right call.

Hmm, I think Orange Pixel (The android/iphone game company) can be hired to make games (2d, no high end graphics) maybe you can contact them??

If you want money go to the mobile games, easier to make, easier to expand to the public, easier to sell or download for free with ads, look at angry birds...

Make some funny game for android or iOS or both and submit it to the marketplace.

3D games are hard to make as the previous comment said, specialize you on 1 task like 3D modeling for example, or IA programming then search for a job or a team to make some game.

Lol, if you can't afford a decent computer, you won't be able to afford this. For what you described, you're looking at like $30 million minimum.

I used to work for a games development studio what you are asking if great but realistically we had 4-5 people working on a single 3d project at once just for rendering, shading, lighting etc and then another 3-4 programming the game itself and we were a pretty small studio. It's time consuming to only have a single person working on a project (it's doable) but not really a good business model to try and build on. As others have suggested mobile games are easier to expand on and have a quicker project turn around time and require less resources to develop. Just my 2 cents.

buy some software and do it on your own you will finished 3d games like call of duty in 20 years :D

Unreal Developers Kit is the way to go... 2 years ago I would just screw around and make some pretty cool stuff. Its what was used to make games like Mortal Combat and Section 8 (they used UE3 for this, but its pretty much UDK but with a license to publish your game). You can see the site to download it here: http://www.unrealengine.com/en/udk/downloads/ . Also you can find really good tutorials on how to use it here: http://www.youtube.com/course?list=ECFF967D7CA020E636&feature=plcp . The guy who makes the tutorials (TheNewBoston) also does a lot of other stuff too including teaching people c++ and such in case you want to take that route. If you follow all of those UDK tutorials, by the end you will have the skills to make a full video game. How good it is is up to your imagination.

Hope this helped,
Vincent
