hey guys again, i need some help, i use Premiere to edit my videos, but i want try something on my laptop, what good ones like premiere i can use?
cheers

There are a ton of threads on the subject but Sony Vegas is also popular choice.

Vouch for Sony Vegas, it's pretty much the best competitor to Adobe Premiere in terms of both features and speed \ lightweightness, in my opinion anyway.

Your third option which I don't recommend as much would be FinalCut.
Also if you are not familiar with Adobe's Creative Suites you could look in to using Adobe After effects in tandem to your Premiere editing suite to achieve alot more fancy new effects on your videos.

Personally I choose Vegas, just prefer its overall layout to anything else thats out there tenfold. Also plugins = (Y)

I use Adobe After Effects. Its better then Sony Vegas.

can you really run them on the labtop ? to really work with i mean?

You can have a laptop with an a 3ghz intel i7 with 8 threads + a physical GPU in it + 32gigs of ram, so my snarky answer would be sure why not!

But seriously, vegas runs fine on a modern generation dual core (i3) with 2-4GB of ram.
The other applications run decently too, your bottleneck quickly becomes playing and previewing too many raw video files within one project as it takes time for your system to move large raw video files in and out of RAM.
Also render times are alot longer with slower CPU's, but rendering is only for when you are finished editing so you can do it while you eat\sleep right :)

If you can get a laptop with a discrete graphics chip set it will run fine. For heavy duty video editing with a lot of rendering a desktop is still the way to go.
