Can someone help me to find a good video editor that can add text and emojis to the video?

Like some of the viral facebook videos?

I need to add text to some videos that are captured in portrait mode.

Any decent company/video will most likely be using Adobe After Effects. It might look overwhelming but it allows for a tons of control and it's actually fairly simple to pick up. Templates and preset effects are available if you don't want to go through the process of making transitions.

You can do it with Final Cut Pro X with Emoji Pop plugin

Anybody got a free software for this? I dont want to spend hundreds for a video editor just for simple clips.

I would use Windows Movie Maker + GIMP + Flickr Creative Commons for that.
Easy To Use, Very Basic, $0 Cost.

any of the editing softwares work, final cut or adobe premiere, you just have to get the jpg or png file and edit it int he footage
