Video Editing?

Hey fellow BlackHats!

Every day I see people on BHW that have their own gifts and are talented at something, problem is I can't think of anything that I'm good at besides eating and sleeping. I lack the motivation to do anything, and I usually give up on everything I've ever tried on IMing. So I'm asking you guys, if I want to learn ALL about video editing where would I start? And what programs do all the professionsals use?

My goal: To learn and master filming/video editing and make commercials/campaigns for businesses.

All help would be much appreciated.

I am no video expert but i will give you my 2 cents

There is a WSO called "studio video expert" which makes you decent looking videos with templates provided in the WSO.

Dave Kaminisky's "Flip camera secrets "teaches all about recording videos which look professional but by using cheap cameras and lighting equipments.

"Screencast secrets " by Dave teaches how to edit videos using camtasia add captions etc

Best video editor used seems to be "sony vegas pro"

Also check out "Video Boss" by Andy Jenkins

If you want to go to the extreme learn "adobe after effects" Check for it s tutorials from videocopilot[.]net

I used to be at your place 15 years back.
That was after i grade of course...
In my mind at that time there is a lot of thing that i want to do.
I want to do this, i want to do that, i want to be this, and want to be that.

Guess what? None of it turn out like what i wanted it to be.
If i can remember correctly, there is about 10+ different niche/job in total.
I tried every single of it and end up no where.
Because why? Gave up half-way same like what you did.

My advice is to go for something that you have passion with.
Something that you really enjoy and having fun doing it.
Something that really can make you self-motivated everyday.
And the most important part is Action Plan & To Take Action.

I'm not sure if video editing is something that you really fall in love with.
Or it is just something that you simply want to try because 'its cool'..
But if yes than go all our for it...Try something like 3D video or along the line.
Maybe you can check this website here from IllusionMage.
If you lucky enough maybe you can search the download section.

Thanks guys. I appreciate the help. But I have no idea what I'm good at. You could call me lost but I'm not sure what I'm good at and what I want to do with the rest of my life. I'm only 17 BTW.

"Only 17" you've got plenty more time and lots more to learn... so there is no rush kid, just take your time and make the most of the journey!

Go to piratebay and download camtasia studio. It's good for beginners
