Video Color Splasing

Example:
Is there there a program other than Sony Vegas Pro that will do this? I've been Googl'ing all day and everything points to Vegas Pro.

FYI: I'm using a pc and not a mac.

I'm pretty sure After Effects can do that too, probably it isn't called 'color splash' so it didn't come out in your search.

I've never heard it called that either, but that effect is easily achieved within AEs using the "change to color" effect, as well as many other effects within color correction such as "curves".

Under the effects tab, find "color correction" and choose "change to color"

The "change" operator drop down needs to be changed to "hue & saturation"
And the "change by" operator drop down needs to be changed to "transforming to color"

You can use the sliders to adjust the intensity etc.

And like with most everything within AEs, pretty much everything is key-framable

You can do that in Adobe Premiere pro using the color pass effect. This blog post on adobes website goes into how to do it towards the bottom.

The technical term for that effect is "Selective Color" and the process is called "Selective Colorization". I thought you might want to know.
