Can I insert youtube video with each article I am posting daily? Will that help me to improve site performance??

Youtube video is still good. It enables the visitor to spend more time on your site.
 
Yes, Video blogging is the trend now and people might prefer video over a long article of text. If you are using wordpress, then just try videotoblog to automatically insert videos as posts to your blog.
 
Video blogs are always more flexible than the normal ones. Reason is the content now a days , a lot of peoples using autoblogging method to spin the scrape content , but it doesn't come up as like the video blogs. They always manage to attract the visitors along with good ranking in google.
 
Video blogging will work be better option i guess. Since panda & penguin rolling out website for the poor content, Spun articles. Google only take quality articles for raise in ranking.

Can anyone refer me some best video blogs ?

Yes, you can post video with article that's good way to get high rank, you can also optimize YouTube video.

Noone can say it's good or bad as per performance because it has got nothing to do with that but for sure videos bring interaction so yes it's always good to add video in blog post, if it's possible.

Allows to automatically embed videos from standard YouTube RSS feeds. Just enable the "Embed videos" option and plugin will automatically extract and embed YouTube videos among with their full descriptions directly into your posts.
