Viable cloacked redirection expired domain?

Hello,
I would like to know if cloacking an expired domain name to a new domain is viable in the long term from a seo point of view.

In fact, I'm going to have Googlebot redirected (backlinks) but not the users.

Do you think this is compatible with a long-term whitehat strategy?

I need to do this because it's an expired domain name.

Any cloaking of search engine bots is no longer whitehat SEO. Google can see from Chrome’s stats that users aren’t following the redirect, unlike its bots, and you could face penalties for that.
