Hi,
Hopefully I am in the right section. Just found the above scanning a file for virus. Does anyone has any info about this? Is this safe?
Thanks in advance.

Thread moved.

What did you scan? Web script or exe file?

if you dont have an antivirus program to check it use external online tools to make sure that is safe...
otherwise dont open it

Webshells are a backdoor script designed to interact and control in a malicious way.

Where did you get the webshell?

I would personally delete it.

It is a webscript. I am trying to restore a website that came within a package. I did scan with virus total and it is the only detection. Thanks for your replies.

It contains backdoor then. Avoid it. Webshells are backdoor to your file server.

Open the file in question and check for funny code (e.g. big hash etc). if it's there, delete the file (take a backup first obviously).

You should delete it or may end up in trouble
