Back story:
I've been getting back into IM the last couple months. After a wild life update, I lost my sites. This was coupled with rotator cuff surgery, so I couldnt even use a computer for like 6 months. So needless to say I took some time off.
The now:
I have a couple of Amazon sites that are starting to make some money, they are just hitting first page. But this journey isnt about them. I want a authority site that I can retire on, im tired of working a regular job.
I have an old domain that I registered over a year ago, right before my surgery. Its one word term, very brandable. I tried to buy the .com/.net from brokers its worth,to them, over 2500. So I wont be doing very much spamming or blackhat directly pointed at this domain.
Ive been studying this niche for over a year now. Its a very profitable niche, with lots of low lingering fruit to pick up and enjoy. Actually enjoy the niche Im working on, so I wont be dreading writing stupid reviews about crap I dont really care about.
The Plan:
Going to build a news syndicate site/ reviews. Rather than just use some aggregator and dump RSS feeds into my site. Ill rewrite popular news articles and post them to my site. As my site starts to build traction maybe one day Ill get google news..
Anyways, news isnt the main focus of my site. I cant use adsense in my niche. The organic traffic would be nice because pageviews = big money in my niche. But its not the main focus. Main focus will be the side articles that target the money kws down the road. Possible open an e store down the road. My niche is becoming more and more popular every day. Its a gold mine waiting to happen. Thats why I want to set my foundation as a huge authority before everyone else gets on board.
Day 1 - 90
Rewrite news articles, post one a day. Best thing about news is I can get lazy every now and then and just copy and past. (FYI most news sites dont care as long as you link back and change the title.)
Mostly, Ill be focusing on social presence at this time. I have an aged facebook and g+ page for this domain, had to make a new tumblr. I dont really like twitter but I will probably suck it up and make an twitter account.
Already set up social share plugin to auto post new posts on feeds/pages of social networks. Will be manually building user base.
Gradually register 50 -100 web 2.0' sites that I can feed my rss to. Will probably add a couple posts of unique readable content, about me pages esc. Will try to get them indexed by day 91.
Linking I will do through out the whole process.
I will join some forums, niche related, and just be an active member. Try to get an url in my footer.
Make comments on niche related blogs using my brandable domain name and url.
Maybe a couple of guest posts here and there.
Days 91- 120
Set up rankwyz or fcs networker to randomly post snippets of my feed to theses sites every time I make a post on my site. Ive used both havent figured out which one I like better.
Evaluate how this is working for me. What I mean is, if these are good enough to start ranking some articles here and there. Then Ill just use this link building. If it doesnt work, then Ill step up my game on day 121+

Hopefully, my social aspect is worked out by this point to where Im getting organic shares for my accounts. If not, Ill pay for some paid boosts, tweets, g+ shares esc. At this point my domain should look like an authority site, with lots of content and a nice theme.
If articles are ranking well with above link building, then Ill start to roll out money articles. If not ill start rolling out a PBN, buying directory links from my niche esc. Not going to go wild here, trying to build a stable site with a amazing link profile.

Things to note, this journey is probably going to be very boring for some time.
Im a patient person, I fully expect this to take a 6 months to a year before I see profit from this site.
I wont be updating this thread every day, this is more of a personal log. If you have questions feel free to ask.

- Hosting is done, got a reseller account incase I want to set up a pbn. Do own a couple other aged domains, niche related, in case I want to build some micro niche or whatever.
- Authority domain is set up, with a heavily modified free theme.
- Set up plugins: yoast, wordfence, no follow plugin, jetpack(the social share posts on g+, facebook, tumber, twitter esc now), probably disqus later well see.
