Man.. I feel bad hearing the story. I suggest a dog and possibly a gun. A gun isn't an option for everyone either. Get a camera and 2 pitbulls and you should be good to go. The law sucks though, I heard of true stores of robbers breaking a leg in the victims house and the courts go with the robber

had a car worth 13,000euro stolen on me, couldn't afford the insurance at the time because of finances.... felt like killin myself! (I actually lost my wallet tonight and had 2 ring the banks, but thats only trivial compared to things like that)

Hope they get what they deserve pal..

Thats a long ass sentence, and it's not even over yet!

kidding, thats terrible ive been robbed before as well. Didn't get SHIT back

Through some searching i found this guys paypal just can't post it here i am going to donate to him if anyone would like to match me send me a pm since i can not post it in this thread

Yes, as a lawful hardworking person as you are I can relate. I feel for you and your family. Piece of S*** people in this world will get what they deserve. Find comfort knowing someday they will get caught and they are probably big drug addicts. The pain they feel on drugs and the pain they feel when not on drugs makes for a miserable person. Be thankful that you are better then that. Teach your children that you are a good person and teach them to be a good person. I feel sorry for bad people as they are not intelligent enough to make it in this world and someday they will fall from our presence. Good luck and God bless

there's plenty of tracking technology you can put in your computer and phone and other gadgets that'll let you locate the thief as long as they leave it on or turn it on.

i bet if you told the cops you knew exactly where the thief was because you had a gps signal on him, they'd be more than willing to help.

They had to have a moving truck for you stuff. They would have also been casing the joint to look for a pattern of your daily comings and goings. Did you notice any vehicles parked in the street that aren't there now? Do you have people that you know, come to your house without calling first? Is there an easy way for a neighbor to carry something out of the back door and take it to their house with ease and shade? You should question and warn your neighbors...

I got robbed too but i didn't have much. He took a playstation 2 and some games. He was looking for the weed but the idiot didn't look under the chair cushion in the bedroom. He tossed everything except that one chair and he would have gotten 2 pounds of dank. It was someone that my roommate meet in the neighborhood and he use to come over without calling or anything. A few times he would just open the door w/o knocking. Needless to say, he got dogs called on him and wasn't able to enjoy his new playstation for a while.
Trust me that's how they find out when to rob you. It is someone that havs been watching you for a while oe someone that has gotten to your house before. That's why its always good to look around for suspicious activity . If I see a sucker a few times around 500 feet of my property, u already know am right am gonna go to that suspicious motherfucccccckr and ask him "what's up , you from around here" and damn straight he better point or respond where he lives else I will tell em "wtf u ve been creeping here the past times I ve seen you here "

Sorry to hear of your loss. Out here we find people rob the same house again a little bit later as they know you will replace all the goods with brand new things. Cover yourself first but putting iron bars on your basement window and then setting up a monitored burglar alarm with lots of stickers on windows to say you have the alarm and CCtv even if you don't. And don't forget to put the little blue alarm box under the high point of the eaves making it visible from the street.
Even if you don't put in a real alarm get all the stickers, false camera and blue box and stick them all up.
The monitored alarms are worth s*** as it takes the security ages to get to your place and by that time the thieves are gone, but letting them know that its there is the best deterent.

...But, yeah the cops are pretty much worthless when it comes to a robbery, unless you're a banker.

...or a fellow cop :cool3:

Sorry to hear about your loss. May you have a Christmas miracle! :saroll:

Sucks to be robbed, these are your options though:
-move into a condo (fewer points of entry)
-Place motion sensors/alarms at all entry points
-buy a taser (will drop anyone faster than a bad habit)
-bar up windows (what folks in 3rd world countries do, but does the job)
-don't know if this exists but a motion sensor that triggers a cctv camera to turn on

I feel sorry for your loss mate :) i really do. I hope the crooks get caught and you get all your stuff back :)

that sucks, times are tough there are some messed up people out there

I am glad that you and your daughter are safe. :)

I hope you have a Happy Christmas regardless. :)

Yep I was just about to post about that.... There was a case where a robber sued a homeowner and won after the homeowners dog attacked him during the robbery... There's been cases where the robber was shot during a home invasion and won even though he broke in and the home owner had a ccw etc.. It's nutz.. Get a dog or at least a beware of Dog sign!

Such a shame, so sorry to hear it. I wish you the best of luck, and I know it may be hard but the only thing you can do in such time is to try and think positive. Crazy, I know, but what else can you do... :)
