Very Old Dollar Bills - What to do ?

OP I'd take pictures of everything and go ask about the worth on some coin collector forum. If it's worth anything then they'll give you a general idea on where to start the bids.

That is worth more than you think. That is an old bill in good shape and it's also a star note (meaning a replacement for a misprint). I wouldn't exchange that. You could sell just that one $100 bill for $200 USD easily. I would research what all you have and then throw that shit on Ebay. Currency collectors go wild there.

Listen to this person!

Always think like a marketer. :)

This is the first time I hear that one cannot exchange dollars for local currency.

Also, your 1950 $100 bill with star is not worth more than $100. (someone suggested that it is , but it is not), so go and exchange them in bank. Problem solved

For everyone else, $100 is $100 is $100. It doesn't matter if it is printed in 80s or 50s or in 2014. They are all in use, it is not the same thing as other countries where you need to exchange your old bills for new ones when they make a new design
