I just started using clickbank recently and have over 1000 hops in 4 days. Only 24 visited the order form page, and no sales. Is this just a bad product to promote? 1000 people visiting the page is exciting though in only 4 days, considering the traffic was free and targeted. What's an average hop/sale number for you guys?

There are 2 things that stops you from getting sales:

1) The traffic is not targetted enough
2) the sales page is crap.

With that amount of traffic you should make atleast 5 sales :)

What do you mean by "considering the traffic was free and targeted"

If you've just blasted a couple thousand pop-up forget about get any sales mate!

It looks like your visitors are not interested in the product you are promoting thus the 4 clicks.
Where did the traffic come from? One for sure, it is untargeted.

If you show us the sales page we can comment as to whether it is the problem or not. The more you rule out the easier it is to see where the problem lies.

you say free and targeted?
anyway, you can send 5000 clicks/hops but if they are not interested they won't buy anything
that 24 order forms view are maybe people interested

I used craigslist and masked my domain to my hoplink. Not the best way to go about doing things I know, but it's better than nothing. The ad I posted is pretty descriptive of what the link points to, so I figured the traffic is pretty much targeted, but I could be wrong. Having just one little sale would be nice haha.

had you made any reference to the price on the craiglist ad? I've seen some people post ads mentioning "FREE" (e.g. free software etc...) and then the visitors find that they actually have to pay. Also how did you choose the product? Gravity? Did you have a good look at the sales page? Would you be inclined to buy the product yourself?

have you done pre-sell on craigslist post?
if not, maybe you can add a good landing page about what you are presenting to the users
i am not an affiliate myself but that is what i read :)

It could be that the sales page is not compelling enough
to get people to click to the order page.
Is your product too expensive?
Perhaps what is on the sales page doesn't deliver on
what you posted on the craiglist page

It seems switching to different product will help. Trying switching to few products which will eventually help you determine if the traffic is good or crap.

Well I'm trying a new product with the same method. 111 hops so far, 4 impression counts and 1 order form server call. Still no sale though. This product seems to be doing better atleast. I wonder what happened on the order form server call with still no sale...their card didn't work maybe? Hmm...

what's the trick to get quality traffic to your site. I have lots of traffic but no sales as well...
