    Hi all,

on June 10th I'll be launching my website. Till now, i had no experience with what it takes to get traffic to a site. I'm learning all kinds of stuff about SEO and back links. Pretty interesting and i must admit, I have never thought about it being the way that it is. a lot of things that didn't make sense start to make sense to me now. for example all these people that write content for websites.

Anyway, my web designer will make my website SEO friendly but further than that, I want to do everything myself. That means studying! I actually found this website because I wanted to find reviews about Ultimate Demon. I found a thread but that had started 2 years ago. ill do another search on that after i finish this post. i also found a website called ceoweb.

For those of you who have experience, am i right to think that i need both of these pieces of software? is there any danger for getting blacklisted by google? I would also like to find a source where I can learn how to write a good article. especially, I would like to know what the difference is between writing an article for selling goods or selling services.

Well, tips are welcome but of course ill be searching myself.

    Greetings from Vietnam
    dankje

Good luck with the new webiste, i have also just started a blog :)

As far as ranking your site etc - you can do it yourself but it can be pretty time consuming if you are expecting SEO traffic.
It terms of software ..well it depends on if you have the experience to use it..it's just a tool like a machine gun..imagine if that was given to a child..this is why you have to know what you are doing with tools like that or you could cause a lot of damage to your sites ..
    hope that helps :D

    Hi Danjke

Good luck with everything - it may take you a while to get up to speed with everything. There are lots of different tools out there, far too many to comment on, but some tools have the potential to get you into trouble with Google whereas there are some very good tools (SEOMoz for example) that cost a lot of money and can be very useful.

    Hope that helps!

    Thank you all for replying.

I've only been here half a day and already learned so much.

Firstly, I'm only going to run one website and there's going to be a lot of unique content. It's definitely a long term project that I hope will have great traffic after a couple of years.

However, one part of my website will have to use copied content in the first couple of months. I've made a thread about this in the white hat section.

Also, I'm planning on spending a couple of hours a day creating content for the website and could easily reserve some time for back links. At this time, I'm starting to think that a tool like Ultimate Demon might not be necessary and CEO sometimes, maybe every three months or so.

This is what I'm thinking now but that might well change again after reading through this website in the next couple of weeks.
