I forgot which thread said it, but he stated to post pictures of hot girls to get your first few hundred followers. So, I posted a picture of a hot girl extremely fit and got I think two likes. Deleted it, tried a different pic. I got a bit more likes this time. Still not much. So, I posted a picture of an Audi car. I got double the amount of likes on it! I find it crazy. It just goes to show you that all results are different.

This is really dependant on the market you are promoting to, but a few likes is not really representative of the entire market.

I actually changed the account identity. It had 1k followers and it was my personal account. I was just saying that it shows that not everyone is into following big booty girl pages.

i also remember reading that thread, but what the other guy said above: your sample isn't really representative, especially without knowing more of those ppl, real or fake followers? what are they into? their gender? if those are just random real followers, more than likely most of those are women, it's just an assumption, because 2/3rd of the ig users are still women and unless they aren't into girls, they will more likely like a picture of a nice car than a hot girl, gold diggers like nice cars :)

if anything, your test clearly shows one thing: that you have pretty bad engagement on that particular acc of yours lol, i wouldn't draw far-reaching conclusions from a sample this small/inactive

You have no understanding. Read the thread, don't be ignorant. It once was my personal account with 1k followers. Got 100-200 likes per photo. I deleted everything and posted a picture of a hot girl. Couple times. Didn't workout. I posted a picture of a car, worked out much better. The whole point is not everybody likes to see hot girls on their feed. I also had a few unfollows.

is it me who have no understanding? you may want to rethink that :cow04:

i read the thread, but frankly you didn't tell us too many or too exact details to work with, your OP was too vague
you did a test, great, i guess we're all happy for you
what kind of replies did you expect? that everybody will beat his ass to the ground, because of the earth-shattering discovery ("all results are different") you made?
and why are you getting offended all of a sudden when you're getting told by multiple (2) people, that your sample isn't representative, instead of trying to understand what we're trying to say?

let's get back to the topic and see what we could gather from your first 2 posts in this thread:
you used your former personal acc with 1k followers to post:
- a pic of a hot&fit girl, you think it got 2 likes
- a pic of another hot girl, it received a bit more likes, still not much - maybe 10, 20, who knows?
- a pic of an Audi, which collected 2x likes than what the 2nd hot girl pic - 2x10=20, 2x20=40?
so what? the Audi pic received 20-40 likes at most?
but these results don't even matter at this point, because we still don't know the gender distribution of your account and a couple of other factors, which would be the bare minimum, when you do split testing using pics of this nature
we also know since then, that your account was more responsive once, but this is also irrelevant now, because it's clearly not the case anymore with this few likes

what was your purpose? did you want to contradict the guy who posted that thread you're referring to in your OP?

i'm sorry, but i can only repeat what Josh and i already said above: your sample is not representative - accept it or not - it's just too small, too undefined, too unresponsive, too few pics were posted, so just judging by this, you can't or you shouldn't draw conclusions like if it were the one and only truth

i'm yet to decide what was the main point of your testing
as a last conclusion you say in your OP: "all results are different", nobody can argue with that, but to be able come to this conclusion, do you really need testing? now you're coming back with another commonplace: "not everybody likes to see hot girls on their feed", all good, nobody can argue with this either, but what's the point?!

tl;dr you came to a final conclusion, which is true in itself, but your methodology is bleeding from more than one wound, i think that's what i'm trying to say here

What kind of pictures were you posting on your personal account before it got deleted?

:) true, not everybody likes that but you say it was your personal account so it depends how you got them there and what they wanted to see from you, if it was cookies or dresses and you had a lot of female followers it's obvious they wouldn't have liked sexy pics...

pitbulls/chickens/gorillas/me.

... obviously they don't like the big booty pictures, your followers were into lifestyle posts, not girls. If you would've say turned it into a travel account, or something else, maybe you'd get more likes.

Looks like that's what your followers are more into. Get to know your follower base as much as possible with these sort of experimental posts. When you find that a particular post does well, see if there's a certain twist you can give to it to increase the engagement even more. Try to figure out what the sub-factors are that made that post so engaging and come up with a formula that yields even better results.
