Hello all BHW members, I want to ask, what should I do if a domain that already has a lot of traffic suddenly experiences a very drastic decline in traffic? And what is a good solution so that traffic from my domain can come back again?

Is any keyword ranking?

How's the search console looks like?

A sudden drastic decline in traffic can be caused by several factors, such as algorithm updates, technical issues, penalties, or increased competition

You will have to run a deep audit and find out what actually happened.

The issue is most likely content related, especially if AI is involved.

If there are no penalties, analyze recent changes to the site - new content, design updates, or backlinks could be factors.

If your website's traffic has dropped suddenly, there could be several reasons behind it, including:
1. Manual Penalties: Check Google Search Console for any manual actions against your website (such as Manual Penalties, Crawl Errors, or Mobile Usability issues).
2. Google Algorithm Updates: Look at the timeline of the drop and compare it with recent algorithm updates. If your site dropped after a known update, evaluate your content and backlink profile to ensure they meet Google's current quality standards.
3. Technical Issues: Look for website errors, crawl accessibility issues, or broken backlinks. Tools like Google PageSpeed Insights or GTMetrix can help you analyze site speed and improve performance.
3. Content Quality Issues: Assess your content for outdated information, plagiarism, or keyword stuffing.
Finally, to recover your traffic, you need to thoroughly diagnose the issue and implement a well-rounded recovery strategy. Fixing technical issues, improving content quality, building quality backlinks, and staying on top of algorithm changes are essential for maintaining strong SEO performance. Be patient—improvements take time, but consistent and quality efforts will pay off in the long run

Google updates its algorithm every few months. Sometimes it gets better, sometimes worse. But maybe a lot of your traffic was also bot-related, which are dead now?
If you want to increase your traffic in general I would recommend to a build a community, e.g. via discord and invest in SEO (including backlinks)

check if you accidentally turned off the internet, and then start blaming the algorithm like the rest of us.

A sudden drop in traffic can be caused by algorithm updates, lost backlinks, technical issues, or even competitor actions. Start by checking for any penalties, indexing issues, or major ranking changes using analytics and search tools. To recover, focus on updating content, improving site speed, building quality backlinks, and ensuring your SEO strategies align with the latest best practices.
