Verification error when adding payment method

That usually happens when Meta flags the payment method later during backend checks. Even if it looks accepted at first, it can fail once they verify with the bank or processor. Best bet is to use a clean, matching payment method and make sure account details line up otherwise errors like this will keep popping up.

It’s less a setup bug and more a trust/verification mismatch.
 
You can try changing your payment method to Visa or Mastercard. I have this problem sometimes but when I change my payment method everything works fine.

Try and change your payment method, using Mastercard and Visa will work perfectly.

Then you just proceed to verify, it's okay. If the verification is successful, you can use it normally.
 
Seen that a lot. FB lets you add it, but a hidden check kicks in later. What type of card are you using? VCC, bank debit, or prepaid? That makes a big difference
 
remove that card and add the payment method again with the same card, do this 3-4 times, if it still doesn't work try replacing the account with a new one.

Which type of secondary payment method do you usually use? Do you find that adding a secondary method really helps prevent verification errors?
 
Your card may have been linked to multiple accounts, resulting in the card being declined. You should change to a new card that has never been added to any account.
 
You just need to verify, successful verification you can use the payment card normally
 
I’ve seen this happen before. Sometimes the payment method looks fine when added, but later verification flags can still pop up.
 
when error appears you can verify payment method again
if it doesn't work you can add another payment method, it's better if the payment method is in the same country as the country you billed
