Just to try it out (for fun), I am going to eat vegan for a few days to try out different meat replacements and recipes (and possibly once or twice a week soon if it tastes good enough to gain some karma points from our planet)

I just ate falafel (with rice and a mad amount of veggies) for dinner, and it tastes fucking awesome. After that, a girl told me they are supposed to go inside of wraps / tortilla's, so I might try them again soon in a different way.

Bought a few 'fake meat' kind of thingys too (soy based burgers, beef and chicken) to try out for lunch tomorrow and dinner.

To all my fellow vegans, any food/recipes I should try?

Hey mate. Decided go to vegetarian 3 years ago. Now been vegan for 16 months. Was a huge animal protein eater. Best decision I've ever made. I try and eat mainly whole foods and not a lot of junk food and I feel great. There are tons of recipes out there. I'll try and remember to come back to this thread this evening and post a bunch of recipes I like. I have a smoothie for breakfast basically every day consisting of 2 bananas, vegan protein powder, 1.5 cups frozen berries, hemp seeds, ground flax, fresh turmeric, 2 cups greens, sometimes cilantro and sprouts if I have them, and then soy or flax milk (and sometimes peanut butter). Super filling and insanely nutrient dense.

Check out simnett nutrition on YouTube of you want to go down the super healthy, whole food plant based path. He's a vegan bodybuilder and does a lot of what I eat in a day videos. There's sooo much food on Instagram haha just go do some searching and you'll find a lot that looks tasty.

I don't ever crave meat and I feel like I'm constantly getting healthier and my mental state has been improving. Im also looking more youthful while everyone I know is looking like death. I also don't do sugar or rarely est processed foods. WFPB all the way with lots of water and exercise l.

Thanks a lot for that mate. I usually just put orange juice + carrots + spinach + flaxseed inside my smoothies, but this is pretty eye opening. (sadly I am allergic to banana's!)

Also if I continue eating non-vegan after this, I am aiming to transition into completely whole food diet as well. This could be pretty shit though, as I am in need of 4200 calories a day when bulking which is a crazy amount and I can only reach this by jamming some non-clean foods into my mouth.

Swapped my pre-bed meal from bread with cheese and cashew nuts to ground beef with pasta and spinach + a greens smoothie two weeks ago, and I feel so much better eating that.

I was a vegetarian for 3 months and noticed a lot of energy, and my skin was clear. The only issue was trying to find places to go and eat (2015) as there were not many options. I may in the future go back on it as my wife is doing it for a religious reason this entire month.
P.S Love anything with tofu (Still have most of my salads like that), and watch the salt content; I noticed a lot of the food had a lot of it. I wish you luck!

Being vegan is cool as long as you don't try to force people into it, those fuckers are toxic, like that granny on tik tok
Anyway good luck to you @Blackhat Lifter

Oh of course I would never do that. I always recommend people to work on their body, but if I see they don't care I leave them alone :)

How much are you deadlifting?
That's not me in the profile picture :P
Gyms are opening tomorrow after 5 months, and I'm going to start them again in my new program. Have had a long time of hip issues which gave me a crazy setback. Will just start with 2-2.5 plates and go slowly from there.

I am not a vegan, but a vegetarian. One best thing that happened to me, is my consumption of junk food went down to like 50%.

However cant imagine myself going vegan as I love fried Mozzarella stick :p

Woooow thats a lot. You Bulking or what? I’m soon starting to cut after 3 months bulking, increased about 4-5 kg and body fat not around 16-18%
Lean bulking, gaining about 0.2-0.3kg/wk atm. I am 198cm tall and 96kg, lifting 5-6 times a week and also cycling to my office daily, so I need a lot.

I've been on and off vegan a couple of times. I usually make lots of rice and potato food and make some spicy oat sauce with vegetables and something that replaces meat. I also enjoy making meals that aren't like 'meat' meal.

I mainly do it when I get enough of eating meat. Then I get back to eating meat when I start to feel like eating it again.

Calories are sometimes little hard to get when doing heavy work/moving a lot, but body gets used to it I guess. Shakes are good way to add some of that in the diet.

Good luck with that too

Four thousand two hundred my brother
Check simnett nutrition out then. He eats super clean just not sure how calorie intake. He does vids breaking down his macros tho. I hit 2500 a day whole foods only eating three times and I'm not bulking lol. I would think you can get there mostly clean eating. My morning smoothie has 1000 calories in it if I put pb in it.
